A wildlife enthusiast’s dream, the area covers 15,000 acres of forests and swampy wetlands where bald eagles are known to take flight in winter among the willow oak, sweet gum, cypress and white oak. Alligators stalk the edges of oxbow lakes.
With its abundance of wildlife and majestic hardwood forests, the area is ideal for scenic hikes, bird watching and photography.
