Welcome to the “wasp season” from November to December and early spring! During chilly nights and early mornings, followed by warm days, wasps tend to gather on rooftops in search of warmth. While it doesn’t necessarily mean there’s a wasp nest in the house, they are essentially in hibernation mode, seeking cozy spots. Generally, they won’t bother you much, but we kindly ask you to keep the cabin doors and windows shut to prevent them from entering. Just a heads-up: there’s wasp spray conveniently located under the kitchen sink in case you need it, but do not spray over the furniture!
Please note that this is a forested area and there are times when the Oklahoma Forestry Service enforces a burning ban in the area. Fines can be upwards of $1000. Please check online for the current burn ban status before using the outdoor firepit.
