Spring Break Different In Beavers Bend

  1. Take the Whole Family Some Place New

With museums, family tours, hiking trails and other group activities or the spacious cabins, you can take a break from the “real” world and start living in real life with the whole family.

  1. Try A New Kind of Beach

This spring break, take a break from the usual #BeachLife and live a little of that #LakeLife and #RiverLife. Beavers Bend’s home to both Broken Bow Lake and the Lower Mountain Fork River. So set sail from their shimmering shores and float, fish, canoe or kayak your way to fun and relaxation.

  1. Enjoy The Local Delicacies

Most Spring Break vacations have you eating on the go. But, if you’d rather sample the finer things of spring break life, the local food can’t be beat in Beavers Bend. Whether you want pizza, chicken fried steak or want to take a walk on the healthier side, you can’t go wrong with all the tasty options.

  1. Visit a Winery with The Besties

You never have to quit your wining in Beavers Bend. In fact, we’re pretty good at it ourselves. If you’re looking for something to cleanse your pallet after sampling the fine foods of the area, wine tasting is sure to add to the spring break fun. With several wineries and other water holes, you can find all kinds of spirits to add to the spirit of your vacation.

  1. Hit the Trails

Trade the hustle and bustle of home with the hiking and biking of vacation. If you’re looking for some exercise and the perfect selfie opportunity you can try the 1.5 mile Friends Trail. If you want a challenge, the 12-mile David Boren Trail is the way to go. There are 5-6 total miles of trails for mountain bicyclists to enjoy in Beavers Bend State Park. Get your gear ready and live spring break off the beaten path.

  1. Saddle Up For Spring Break

If exploring Beavers Bend’s beautiful nature on foot or bicycle isn’t your style, then upgrade to a more “traditional” form of transportation—horseback. You can hop in the saddle and enjoy the more than a half-million acres of land available for horseback riding in the Beaver’s Bend area. So giddy-up and get here already.

  1. Turn Up The Heat w/ Hot Tubbin’

Worried about sharing all the heat and steaminess of spring break with other vacationers at the hotel or an overcrowded beach? Quit it! Whether you’re sippin’ coffee or something a little smoother, you can do it from the comfort and privacy of a hot tub, which are featured in many cabins. So add some steam to your morning routine or heat to nighttime plans with a relaxing mini-staycation in the warm, inviting bubbles that are all just for you.

As a county, we’re continuing to do our part to help keep people healthy. From social distancing and keeping cabins squeaky clean to setting up hand-washing stations and offering To-Go services – the efforts to help you still get the most out of your time here, while being smart are going strong.

  • Don’t travel if you’re sick or have been around someone who has been.
  • Wash, wash, wash those hands. Soap. Water. 20 seconds. Get creative with a song choice. Follow it up with some alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Cover that cough. Cover that sneeze. Preferably with a tissue, then throw it away.
  • Keep it clean. From frequently touched objects to surfaces, be sure to clean and disinfect.
  • Put distance between yourself and other people. Something we’re all good at out here in nature.

As always, stay healthy.
