A Foodie’s Tour of Beavers Bend Cabin Country

Every year, tons of people flock to Beavers Bend Cabin Country for all the boating, fishing, and lounging the area can throw at them. But something that might be a little on the surprising side: this place is Heaven on Earth for foodies. No matter what your flavor is, you’re bound to find something to satisfy those cravings in Cabin Country. So book that cabin, pack your bags with some stretchy pants and a bigger belt and get here already. Don’t forget to bring your appetite.

Pizza, Please

If you’re looking for something saucy and savory, head to Grateful Head, a Grateful Dead-inspiried pizza place packed to the gills with artisan pizzas, to-die-for cheesebread, and more beers than you can shake a stick at. Every item, like the Cosmic Charlie, pays homage to the godfather of jam bands. You can also get your groove on to live music featured on the weekends.

Steak Your Claim

Also known as The Hochatown Original, Abendigo’s Grill & Patio brings a touch of fancy after a long day of roughin’ it at Beavers Bend State Park. From wood-fired grilled ribeyes to fried catfish, Abendigo’s seasonal menu lets you know you’re only eating the freshest and best ingredients. They also have larger rooms for big parties, so take the whole cabin.

The Two Best B’s: Burgers and BBQ

For our money, nothing’s gonna beat a table full of brisket tacos, skillet mac and cheese, bison burgers, and buffalo chicken sandwiches. We just got drool on our keyboards. Head to Buffalo Grill for all that and more. And if it’s nice outside, you might just catch a few of your favorite tunes played live outside. Just make sure you grab some extra napkins.

Suds With Your Buds

There’s nothing quite like tipping a few back with your cabin crew and trying some local brews. Duck on into Mountain Fork Brewery and sample a few deliciously crafted lagers, pilsners, IPAs, and more. Try a crushable Honky Tonk Light, or learn how the Sneaky Snake got its name. Grab a table and poke around their food menu while you’re there for dang good pub grub, or take a few cold ones back to your cabin for that hot tub.

Sea Yourself in Cabin Country

Cabin Country knows a thing or two about quality fish. So take our words for it, when it comes to seafood, Shuck Me is the talk of Hochatown. Take your pick from oysters (fresh or fried), shrimp, chowders, fish, po-boys, and more, it’s a seafood lovers paradise over here.

Sweet n’ Sloppy

When that sweet tooth starts tingling, head to Broken Bow and indulge in some sweet treats at Sloppy Pops. With a huge selection of handcrafted popsicles and an even bigger variety of flavors of frozen yogurt, ice cream, and gelato, there’s something for every sweet lover. Pro tip: don’t skimp on the toppings, it’s worth it after a big day in Cabin Country.
