Beavers Bend Cabin Country Business Directory Terms and Conditions

Effective December 1, 2025.

1. Purpose and Scope

This Business Directory (the “Directory”) is maintained by McCurtain County Tourism Authority to provide community members with information about local businesses and services. Inclusion in the Directory is a privilege, not a right, and is subject to these Terms of Service.

2. Eligibility for Listing

To be listed in the Directory, businesses must:

  • Operate legally within McCurtain County, Oklahoma
  • Hold all required licenses and permits
  • Maintain a physical location or provide services within McCurtain County, Oklahoma
  • Comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws

3. Prohibited Conduct

Businesses listed in the Directory must not engage in:

  • Safety Violations:
    • Activities that pose a danger to public health or safety
    • Operating without required safety certifications or inspections
    • Violations of health codes, building codes, or safety regulations
  • Harassment and Misconduct:
    • Harassment, threats, or intimidation of community members, employees, or other businesses
    • Discriminatory practices based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or other protected classes
    • Patterns of unresolved consumer complaints involving fraud or deceptive practices
  • Fraudulent Activity:
    • Providing false or misleading information in listing details
    • Fraudulent business practices or scams
    • Operating under false pretenses or without proper authorization
  • Community Standards:
    • Actions that bring disrepute to the community
    • Violations of community standards as determined by the McCurtain County Tourism Authority

4. Removal Authority

The McCurtain County Tourism Authority reserves the right to remove any business listing at any time for:

  • Violation of these Terms of Service
  • Public safety concerns
    Loss of required licenses or permits
  • Closure or cessation of business operations
  • Verified complaints of harassment or misconduct
  • Legal violations or criminal activity
  • Failure to maintain current and accurate information
  • Any other reason deemed necessary to protect community welfare

5. Removal Process

When a listing is removed:

  • The business will be notified via the contact information on file or by a MCTA board member
  • Removal may be immediate if public safety requires
  • Businesses may submit a written appeal within [30] days of notification
    McCurtain County Tourism Authority will review appeals but maintains final discretion

6. No Guarantee of Inclusion

Listing in the Directory does not constitute:

  • An endorsement or recommendation by McCurtain County Tourism Authority
  • A guarantee of business quality, reliability, or legitimacy
  • A contractual relationship between the business and McCurtain County Tourism Authority

7. Accuracy of Information

Businesses are responsible for:

Providing accurate and current information
Updating their listing when information changes
Notifying McCurtain County Tourism Authority of business closure

8. Limitation of Liability

McCurtain County Tourism Authority makes no warranties about the accuracy or completeness of Directory information and is not liable for any damages arising from use of the Directory or reliance on listed information.

9. Changes to Terms

McCurtain County Tourism Authority reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Continued listing after changes constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
