Here’s a foodie’s guide to Beavers Bend Cabin Country.

Pizza: Grateful Head Pizza Oven & Tap Room

Head over to Broken Bow to find this Grateful Dead-inspired pizza shop. Have your pick of artisan pizzas and a variety of beers. Every item, like the Cosmic Charlie, pays homage to the godfather of jam bands. You can also get your groove on to live music featured on the weekends.

Steakhouse: Abendigo’s Grill & Patio

Also known as The Hochatown Original, Abendigo’s Grill & Patio brings a touch of fancy after a long day of roughin’ it at Beavers Bend State Park. From wood-fired grilled ribeyes to fried catfish, Abendigo’s seasonal menu lets you know you’re only eating the freshest and best ingredients. They also have larger rooms for big parties, so take the whole cabin.

Barbecue and Burgers: Buffalo Grill

Take a Hochatown spin on the classics with brisket tacos, skillet mac, bison burgers, and buffalo chicken sandwiches. Buffalo Grill is the place to be to enjoy all the Americana favorites. They’ve got hundreds of 5-star reviews to back it up, too.

Brewery: Mountain Fork Brewery

There’s nothing like exploring a new place and trying their local brews. Mountain Fork Brewery has creatively crafted lagers, pilsners, IPAs, and more. Try a crushable Honky Tonk Light, or learn how the Sneaky Snake got its name. Enjoy delicious wings, pizzas, burgers in house. Or take a few cold ones back to your cabin for that hot tub.

Seafood: Shuck Me

Cabin Country knows a thing or two about fishing. When it comes to seafood, Shuck Me is the talk of Hochatown. Take your pick from oysters (fresh or fried), shrimp, chowders, fish, po-boys, and more, it’s a seafood lovers paradise over here.

BBQ: Phat Tabb’s World Famous BBQ

Founded by Idabel’s own James Beard nominated Tabb Singleton (winner of Food Network Chopped and Destination America Deep Fry Masters), Phat Tabb’s has become the place to go if you are looking for a great, rib-sticking Oklahoma-style barbecue. It’s only open from Thursday through Saturday, so plan your visit accordingly.

Sweets: Sasquatch’s Candy Den

Find your favorite flavor at Sasquatch’s Candy Den with over 700 gourmet, nostalgic, and unique candies and chocolates. Or cool down with a colorful selection of sodas or Blue Bell ice cream. If you’re feeling a sugar rush, the games in the yard next door are a great way to work off that burst of energy.

Sweets: Sloppy Pops

Make your way to Broken Bow and indulge in a refreshing treat from Sloppy Pops. Offering a wide selection of handcrafted popsicles and a variety of flavors in frozen yogurt, ice cream, and creamy gelato, there’s something for everyone.
