The Harris Mill Cemetery is named after the 2 brothers who settled here. Wiliam Riley & Lorenzo G. Harris, both born in North Carolina, the sons of Ezekiel & Priscilla(Swindell) Harris. They married sisters, in Mississippi, daughters of John & Sophia(Folsom)Pitchlynn. This site marks remaining evidence of the plantations and enterprises of Harris brothers in Pre-Civil War Period. The cemetery is on private property and not maintained.
