What do I need to hunt in Beavers Bend Cabin Country?

Before you start your hunt, make sure you’re following regulations and licensing requirements.

You know the hunting is good when people have been doing it for generations in a place like Beavers Bend Cabin Country. Our forests, lakes, rivers, and wetlands are fair game for a number of different game. But before you grab your gear and start your hunt, make sure you’re following the area’s regulations and licensing requirements.

What license do I need? 

If you’re not a resident, your hunting license can be:

  • Annual Hunting License (not valid for deer)
  • 5-Day Hunting License (not valid for deer, pheasant or turkey)
  • Lifetime Hunting License* (not valid for deer or turkey)
  • Lifetime Combination Hunting/Fishing License* (not valid for deer or turkey)

*The Lifetime Nonresident Small Game Hunting and Lifetime Nonresident Combination Small Game Hunting/Fishing licenses are no longer available. However, these licenses will be honored for persons already possessing one.

What animals can I hunt?

You’ve got your pick of the litter when it comes to your options for hunting. Throughout the year, hunters can take aim at:

  • Deer
  • Turkey
  • Coyote
  • Bobcat
  • Raccoon
  • Squirrel (in Honobia Creek and Three Rivers Wildlife Management Areas)

Just make sure whatever you’re hunting is in season by checking with the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation, and mind your daily limits.
